Stephanie Quadri has been into fashion and "dressing to express," for as long as she can remember. "Friends used to ask me for help all the time prior to making it my profession." She got her start in retail, then quickly moved on to D Magazine where assisting on one photo shoot was all it took. "I was hooked," Quadri confesses. During her time as Style Director for D, Quadri styled numerous fashion shoots, covers, and bridal editorials. She was eventually sought out by various media outlets like CBS11, Fox4, and garnered clients such as Neiman Marcus, Culture Map, and The Style Network. Her expertise only grew with ventures into personal and bridal styling. "I was constantly on the hunt for new accessories and ways to modernize bridal looks, and figured, why not take it a step further and offer my knowledge to real brides?" It wasn't long before Quadri was approached by the founder of Sister Brother Management, a boutique agency in Dallas, who quickly signed her as freelance stylist and writer. So what's on the horizon for Quadri? "I would love to open a boutique one day, as I originally planned to do after graduating college."

This month, Quadri lets us in her top picks for May:

“Purple is one of my favorite colors, but it’s hard to incorporate it into my everyday wardrobe, since I tend to stick to more basic shades. This mini tote is just right for holding essentials and adding a pop of color this spring.” Balenciaga Mini Papier A4 tote in purple calfskin, $1,145 at Forty Five Ten, Dallas.

“Arielle de Pinto’s chain crochet pieces are like art. The mixed metals make this necklace very wearable while also making a statement.” Arielle de Pinto String Fringe necklace, $344 at V.O.D. in Dallas.

“I live in these jeans day or night. The fit is super-flattering, and the soft stretch denim is like wearing a second skin.” R13 Skinny in Crosby blue, $325 at V.O.D. in Dallas.

“This glossy rose pink with a gold shimmer is the perfect shade, and the smooth, hydrating texture doesn’t dry out my lips. Apparently it’s favored by Kate Middleton as well. Lipstick fit for a queen!” Chanel Rouge Coco Shine in Aventure, $34 at Chanel boutiques, Nordstrom, and Neiman Marcus.

“I am really into red shoes right now. Tiffany Tuttle’s shoes are innovative, fashion-forward, and comfortable at the same time.” LD Tuttle Foil sandal in poppy, $545 at V.O.D. in Dallas.
